I can supply pictures of my BIOS screen if it will be of any help. However, I simply cannot find the Security Mode option. In the default settings, it was already set to CSM, so I didn't have to change that. I googled it and most threads say I should change to CSM option (whatever this means) and disable Security Mode. I've changed the BIOS settings to boot from USB, but for some reason Windows just starts normally. I got a free Win 10 Education from my university and I've been trying to install it, but something's wrong. When the TOSHIBA splash screen is displayed when you first turn on your computer, a boot menu prompt may be displayed for a few seconds near the bottom of. It's been 2 years since I last did that, and my laptop is running very slow. I had burned the iso file on a flash drive and all I had to do was change the boot order in BIOS. I installed 8 and 10 myself with no problems. I am using a toshiba satellite c55 a 163 (it's about 4 years old). but Unfortunately all are BIOS locked and Require Password to BIOS. ![]() I'm not exactly a tech person, so bear with me as I try to explain this. Recently i recieved alot containing 73 Pieces of Toshiba Portege R830 i5 2ng Gen, 320 gb hdd, 4 gb Ram and Bios version is 3.90 with EC version 1.6. ![]()
